Lead Pastor WeldonRev. Weldon Yeo was born in Morden Manitoba and raised in Roland and Carman Manitoba. At the age of 19 he attended Central Pentecostal Bible College (now Horizon College and Seminary) in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan for 3 years; graduating with a diploma in theology.
During those years he met, dated and was engaged to Laurie, his wife since 1985. Together they have 3 married daughters and 9 grandchildren. Pastor Weldon and Laurie were youth pastors in Lloydminster and Calgary Alberta before moving back to Morden in the late 1980s to be youth pastors. In 1991 they moved to Winnipeg (Evangel Chapel) where they served as Assistant pastors and then to Thunder Bay (Evangel) to serve as Associate Pastors for 7 years. Now back in his birthplace, serving as lead pastor, God is continuing to birth newness in his life, so that in an authentic way he can facilitate Christian Life Centre becoming all that God has destined it to be. Christian Life Centre exists to Glorify God, Train and equip people for the work of the ministry, and to win the lost in the Power of Holy Spirit. The mandate upon Pastor Weldon's life is to restore joy in the house and transfer to the next generations everything that God has revealed and made real in his relationship with Jesus. |
Community Life Pastor LaurieI was born in Olds, Alberta and raised in many different provinces; being brought up in a pastor’s home ( i won’t mention how many times I’ve packed and unpacked boxes: no hoarding here). Although spending 12 years in Edmonton,Alberta, I was able to do all my schooling from grade 1 to grade 12 without moving. After graduating high school, I moved to Saskatoon, Sask. to attend 1 year of Bible School(Bridal College), where I met my husband, Weldon Yeo, during his final graduating year. We were married in Lloydminster, AB, in 1985, starting our ministry together as youth pastors, and remained there for 1&1/2 years, before moving to Calgary, AB. As our ministry took us to other provinces, our family grew, raising 3 beautiful girls, ending up in Morden, MB.(for the second time), to our first role as senior pastors. Here the girls graduated, and found all their husbands (answers to our prayers). Now the family has grown…. inheriting 3 awesome “sons” and having 9 incredible grand babies!! Family is a huge part of my life: staying very connected and doing LIFE together on a weekly basis! Not only am I proud to call them my kids, they’re my friends!! This is the aspect that makes it so easy for the community life of the church! My vision is to incorporate a similar “connectiveness” within the our church family; to do life together, make relationships, and grow so deeply in God that we can all affect the community around us!!!
